Tanzania Safari Route MapThere are few places in the world to view and experience such a magnificent display of wildlife as in Tanzania, Africa.  And being photographer/videographers as well as wildlife enthusiasts, this three-week trip with  Wilderness Travel was truly a dream come true for us.

We traveled by 4-wheel drive, dug out canoe, and on foot, and staying in tent camps ranging from luxury to rustic.   We explored the legendary savannas of the Serengeti during the great migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebras, and visited first-class game parks Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara where we encountered lions, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, cape buffaloes, and so much more.

We also had the unique experience of staying in 2 remote private camps on Maasai-owned land, where we headed out on exciting walking adventures led by armed trackers and Maasai guides.  From here we also went on night game drives where the sounds come alive under star-filled skies.

Visits to a Maasai village (boma) and a Maasai school provided unforgettable interaction with the culture and traditions of these native tribespeople.

We came home from this trip exhilarated and wanting more.  I know that another African safari is definitely in our future.
